First, Go to the Registration page on at www.DocBookMD.com and follow the registration instructions. (You will need your Medical Society # and a valid credit card) Rating: +0 1. Make sure your Medical Society membership is up to date. Rating: +0 Contact your Medical Society about joining us. Representatives can call us at 512-810-9113 for more information about how to join. It is FREE for your society to sign up with DocBook. Rating: +0 We maintain a secure server that is updated by your Medical Society. Your iPhone has a direct connection to our server, so when you update your phone, we know who you are and which medical society data you should be getting. Once uploaded, the data resides on your phone. It does not have to access the internet every time to use it.
Am I eligible to use DocBook?
1. Your Medical Society has to be a member of the DocBook Family
2. You have to subscribe to Docbook, which is done when you register.
How much does DocBook cost?
For Societies: DocBook partners with each Medical Society at no charge.
How do I start using DocBook?
2. Then Go to iTunes and the app store. Search for DocBook and download it.
3. Once you have registered and downloaded the app, enter your username and password in the log-in screen.
4. The app will start downloading the appropriate data for your Medical Society. (NOTE: The first download can take a several minutes, so it is best to be on WiFi to ensure the fastest download times)
5. Start using DocBook!
What if I have trouble registering?
2. Verify your Medical Society member ID# by contacting your society.
3. Make sure you have entered the correct username and password into the iPhone, given to you by DocBook.
4. If you are still having trouble or are having a different problem, send an e-mail to support AT DocBookMD DOT com, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Questions About the iPhone App
Rating: +0 Depending on the size of your medical society's database, the DocBook App could require up to 500MB on your iPhone. Rating: +0 In the upper right hand corner of the All Doctors screen you will see a symbol that is a circle with an arrow “⟳”. Just press this button and your iPhone will connect to our servers and update the latest member data. Rating: +1 In the upper right hand corner of each physician’s info page, you will see an “Edit” button. Click on it and scroll down to add a line for a new phone # . Add the number and hit return. The number will be saved, but will not be published to the rest of the society’s users. Rating: +0 Go directly to the physician you want to add and scroll down to the bottom. Click on “Add to Favorites.” Rating: +0 This data is given to us by your Medical Society and must be corrected by them. Every night we are refreshing our data, so within 24 hrs this should be corrected. All you have to do is tap the “⟳” symbol in the upper right hand corner and this will automatically update all the data , once the Medical Society has corrected the error.
